    Description

    This is an original dress for the 1961 American Character 29" Betsy McCall Doll. It is a purple and pink cotton variegated dress with lace on the puffy sleeves and a white Peter Pan collar. There are heart shaped buttons on the bodice, two little holes above the waist as shown in the photo. This area may be where the original ribbon at the waist was attached. Dress closes in the back with four square snaps. Gently played with condition. This dress matches the variegated dress for the 8" Betsy McCall Doll. The dress is pictured on p. 79 in the Betsy McCall Book by Marci Van Ausdall. Please look at the photos carefully as they are part of the description.
