Vintage 1950's Betsy McCall Fashion - Designer Art Set
Adorable vintage Betsy McCall accessory which included a lighted shadow box with working bulb underneath the white top. Holder with pencils, eraser, and pencil sharpener are here. Eraser seems to be stuck in place.  Booklet with 20 patterns and paper from original set.  The patterns are placed on the lighted area and then blank paper goes over top the pattern. You can trace all of the many pages and make your own designs.  I've left the ones the previous owner "Ricky" enjoyed .  There are a few empty original pieces of paper included. I'm not certain but I think this might include all of the patterns?  The first pattern is of the doll and it explains you can make thousands of dresses and costumes for Betsy. It even suggests you turn the patterns over and draw details of your costumes in reverse.  Further down it states new designs were published monthly in The McCall's Magazine.
There are 3 or 4 patterns that have some pencil marks on them but not bad.
The folder is in very good condition without tears.  Set is clean.  Top of the desk has some melt marks on it but overall in very nice vintage condition.  I have the original box that's in poor condition.  If interested, let me know before you pay. Shipping will be more due to increase in size.
